Goji Berries June 18, 2008 I love these berries! I like them by themselves as a snack or added to oatmeal. I even add them to fruit smoothies after soaking in water. Try them... you'll like them.
First time ate a goji May 31, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am, as I type, eating my very first goji berries from any company. I am ONLY eating them because they are suppose to be so healthful. While certainly not vile tasting, they are not a snack I would call very appealing to the average American palate.
They are a bit dry but tender and sweet enough to eat a little bit on an ongoing basis so as to derive their health benefits.
My first impression was they taste like a "feral" cranberry. I can see adding them to trail mix, salads, stir fries, hot oatmeal, smoothies, stews etc. They do leave an aftertaste but you can eat them plain if keep it to small amounts.
I've recently taken having organic unfiltered honey in my tea in lieu of sugar or Splenda and I can see eating a few goji berries before having my tea so as to minimize the aftertaste.
They are nicely packaged in a zip lock type bag that is half silvery and half clear plastic. For a package received 5/31/08, it is marked with a sell by date of 10/8/09. Package says to store in cool, dark, dry place. The product is very clean with no added bits from the rest of the plant.
I can't see any reason not to recommend this particular brand if you want to start incorporating goji berries into your diet.
ADDENDUM: after opening the pouch several more times, the first-time aftertaste is all but gone. The berries are actually now quite tame in flavor. They remain chewy. I eat them now plain as a snack - sbout a tablespoon at a time.
Recommended by an expert April 25, 2008 This brand of Goji berries was recommended to me by my very professional, very knowledgeable acupunturist. She tried many brands before naming this the best. I think they are FABULOUS. I like to add them to my Kashi Oatmeal before cooking. Give it a try and I'm sure you will agree.
Great taste April 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These are the best tasting Goji berries that I have had the pleasure of eating. They blend well in smoothies, are great on salads and taste great when I bake them in breads etc. Will reorder these as I need them and do recommend to others. These berries did not leave a bitter taste. They were crunchy, and tender and had the sweet Goji berry taste I like. I rate these 7 OUT OF 5. BETTER THAN GOOD.
Excellent product & Service March 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The organic Goji berries are delicious. The price offered was half of what I have seen in health food stores and the service was excellent. I will order again.
